Rambu Solo is a funeral ceremony in Tana Toraja, South Sulawesi. This study aims to determine the positive and negative impacts of the Rambu Solo ceremony that occurs in Muslim communities in North Salubarani, Tana Toraja. This research is descriptive qualitative. The data obtained by using data collection techniques in the form of observation, interviews and documentation. Then the data was analyzed using a qualitative descriptive method. Qualitative descriptive method is to explain the phenomena that occur in the field. The results of this study indicate that Rambu Solo not only has a positive impact but also has a negative impact on the Muslim community in Tana Toraja. The positive impact is as an effort to preserve the ancestral culture of the Toraja people before and also as a place to strengthen family relations between communities and inter-religious relations. The negative impact of the Rambu Solo ceremony that occurs in the Muslim community in Tana Toraja is that it can take up free time, drain energy and can spend a lot of material if the person who performs the Rambu Solo ceremony is the closest family. This research used a descriptive qualitative method. The source of data of this research used the movie and also the dialogue of the movie. The result showed that there are 47 slang words in Ramona and Beezus movies. The researcher found that the slang words are formed based on the types of slang those are, fresh &amp; creative, flippant, imitative, acronym, clipping. The second of finding was about the social factors and social distant set the contextual meaning of slang words, which are participant and the subject of conversation. The method used in this study is a qualitative descriptive method with an oral literature approach. The results of the study show the differences and similarities between the folklore of Toakkala and Sangkuriang. (1) The similarities are in the characteristic elements of the folklore, setting, mandate, point of view. Characteristics of the folklore Toakkala and Sangkuriang both use animal and human characters. The setting of both folklore is in the old kingdom. The message conveyed by the two stories is not to love excessively. The point of view of the story both use the third person. (2) The differences from the intrinsic elements are found in the theme, plot and setting. The theme in Toakkala's folklore is about a marriage that is hindered by the blessing of parents, while Sangkuriang's theme is about incestuous marriage. The plot in the Toakala folklore is a forward plot, while in the Sangkuriang folklore it uses back and forth grooves. This research used quantitative methods with pre-experimental research using pre-test and post-test. The population in this research were all students of class X SMAN 1 Polewali with a total of 385 people. While the sample of this research was taken as many as 35 students. The instrument used in obtaining data is to provide text, namely the pretest, and posttest. This research was conducted over six meetings to improve students' reading comprehension at SMAN 1 Polewali. The data were analyzed based on SPSS 25. From the results of this research, the average post-test was higher than the pre-test 59.83 &lt; 79.58. Proving that using culture-oriented materials is effective in improving reading ability, the percentage of post-test results is higher than the percentage of pre-test results. The results of the t-test = (-13.988) with a df of 34 and a significance of 0.000. Percentage increase obtained 33%. While the results of the questionnaire show that all of the seven research questions prove that culturally oriented reading comprehension is easy to understand and obtains a lot of information by knowing something new by reading culturally oriented material. This research proves that the use of culturally oriented materials in teaching and learning English is attractive to students and can improve their reading comprehension skills. The results of the research found a significant difference between the pretest and posttest scores, which proves that the use of culturally oriented materials has a positive impact on student learning outcomes. The design of this research is pre-experimental. The population of this study were all students of class VIII students of SMP Kartika Wirabuana XX-2. Academic year 2022/2023. Researchers used purposive sampling in determining the sample. VIII grade students consisting of 30 students are the sample in this study. The instrument used to collect data in this study was a speaking test. The data analysis technique used is descriptive analysis with the help of SPSS 24.0. The results of the data analysis showed that there were differences in the mean scores between the pre-test and post-test. The pre- test value was 57.52 and the post-test value was 74.34. There is an increase in the average value of 16,828. The results of the paired sample test are t test = 10,909 and t table is 2,048. The results of the t test are higher than the t table. Thus it can be concluded that Ha is accepted and Ho is rejected. Students’ simple present tense mastery significantly influence analytical exposition writing achievement. This research used a quantitative method. The researcher used two test to collect the data, namely grammar test and writing test. The mean score of the grammar test was 47,5 which classified “very poor” level. On the other hand, the mean score of the writing ability was 54,38 which classified “poor” level. From the calculation by using the Pearson product moment formula, it was found out the rxy 0,804. The results indicated that there was positive correlation between students’ simple present tense mastery and their ability in writing analytical exposition text. Beside that, the result of simple regression analysis of the variables, it was found that the students’ simple present tense mastery gave significant effect in the level of 64,7% toward analytical exposition writing achievement and 35,3% was unexplained another factors. The research method used is descriptive quantitative pre-experimental one-group. Obtained research data with an average pretest score of 52.22 and an average posttest score of 71.11 stated that there is an influence of the TOEFL listening test as a medium for students' listening comprehension. This study used a qualitative descriptive research design. The communication approaches utilized were interactive, persuasive, and communicative. The research process involved open-ended interviews, observations, and document analysis, followed by data analysis techniques to understand the communication patterns of the musrif in cultivating the students' moral character and the forms of moral guidance provided at the boarding school. The theoretical frameworks employed in this study included Attribution Theory, BF Skinner's Reinforcement Theory, and the functional group theory. The findings indicate that Diskominfo plays a vital role in providing effective communication channels between the government and the community in delivering information about the programs of Enrekang Regency Government as the "Golden City."
