This research uses a qualitative approach with descriptive methods. The subjects of this study were teachers and fourth grade students at Muhammadiyah 2 Socah Bangkalan Elementary School. The process of collecting data carried out by the method of tests and interviews. The results of this study are that students encountered some difficulties in writing poetry texts. Difficulties that often occur in writing poetry include difficulty in determining diction such as word management that is not appropriate, typographical difficulties in spelling regularity or letters that are difficult to read so that they are less attractive, difficulty in determining figurative language in the power of expression, difficulty in determining rhyme in determining sound placement and repetition, and difficulty determining the tone in the atmosphere of the poem you want to convey. The difficulties that are classified as the most difficult for students are in the elements of diction and rhyme, and the lightest difficulty is in determining the mandate.</p> <p><em>ABSTRAK:&nbsp;</em></p> <p><em>Penelitian ini bertujuan untuk mengetahui kesulitan peserta didik pada kelas IV Sekolah Dasar dalam menulis teks puisi. Penelitian ini mengunakan pendekatan kualitatif dengan metode deskriptif. Subjek dari penelitian ini yaitu guru dan peserta didik kelas IV Sekolah Dasar Muhammadiyah 2 Socah Bangkalan. Proses pengumpulan data dilaksanakan dengan metode tes dan wawancara. Hasil dari penelitian ini yaitu ditemui beberapa kesulitan dari peserta didik dalam menulis teks puisi. Kesulitan yang sering terjadi dalam menulis puisi tersebut diantaranya yaitu kesulitan menentukan diksi seperti pengelolaan kata yang kurang tepat, kesulitan tipografi dalam keteraturan ejaan atau huruf yang sulit terbaca sehingga kurang menarik, kesulitan menentukan bahasa figuratif dalam kekuatan berekspresi, kesulitan menentukan rima dalam menentukan penempatan bunyi dan pengulangannya, dan kesulitan menentukan nada dalam suasana puisi yang ingin disampaikan. Artificial Intelligence (AI) is assumed to be able to create a variety of things including producing a story. One of the AI known by the public is ChatGPT. However, the production of stories by AI is assumed to have limitations. The purpose of this study is to analyze and describe the limitations of horror short stories produced by the artificial intelligence application, ChatGPT. This research is an objective research by applying a qualitative approach. The source of the research data is 20 horror short stories written by artificial intelligence on the ChatGPT application. Data collection is carried out by listening to record techniques. Data analysis is carried out by structural analysis, which is analyzing the building blocks of the story. This is the basis for conclusions related to the limitations of AI in producing horror stories. The results showed that Ai's limitations in writing horror short stories include limitations in writing titles, conversations, intrinsic elements, and the use of olfactory imagery. AI does not write the title of the story, writes dialogue in the form of direct sentences, repeats the background of the story, and does not write stories with the use of olfactory imagery language style.</p> <p>ABSTRAK:&nbsp;</p> <p>Era digital telah memunculkan ragam inovasi, salah satunya AI. Artificial Inteligence (AI) diasumsikan dapat menciptakan ragam hal termasuk memproduksi sebuah cerita. Salah satu AI yang dikenal oleh masyarakat adalah ChatGPT. Meski demikian, produksi cerita karya AI diasumsikan memiliki keterbatasan. Tujuan penelitian ini antara lain menganalisis dan mendeskripsikan keterbatasan cerita pendek horor yang diproduksi aplikasi artificial intelligence yaitu ChatGPT. Penelitian ini adalah penelitian objektif dengan menerapkan pendekatan kualitatif. Sumber data penelitian adalah 20 cerita pendek horor yang ditulis artificial intelligence pada aplikasi ChatGPT. Pengumpulan data dilakukan dengan teknik simak catat. Analisis data dilakukan dengan analisis struktural, yakni menganalisis unsur-unsur pembangun cerita. Hal ini menjadi dasar simpulan terkait keterbatasan AI dalam memproduksi cerita horor. Hasil penelitian menunjukkan, keterbatasan Ai dalam menulis cerita pendek horor, antara lain keterbatasan penulisan judul, percakapan, unsur intrinsik, dan penggunaan citraan penciuman.
