Kata Serapan Bahasa Arab Dalam Bahasa Buton Wolio (Analisis Fonologi)

Abstract

The main objective of this study is to find out the types of absorption words and analyzing sound changes or phonological processes of Arabic words that occur due to the absorption process into the Buton Wolio language. This research is a qualitative descriptive study. The data collection method used is the literature study method with the technique of reading and recording carefully in the dictionary carefully in the Indonesian Wolio Dictionary and Kabanti Oni Wolio to find Arabic absorption vocabulary in Buton Wolio language. The data analysis method used is the equivalent method which involves two languages, namely Arabic and Butonese Wolio with a comparative linking technique, namely equating and differentiating Arabic words. The results of this study are based on the absorption process, namely substitution and importation. There are three types of Arabic absorption words in Buton Wolio, namely loanwords, loanblends, and loanshifts. As for the phonological changes, there are several forms of sound changes that vary in the Arabic word absorption which include consonant reduction, metathesis, dissimilation, diphtongization, monophtongization, anaptixis which includes prosthesis, epentesis and paragog, zeroization which includes apheresis, syncope and apocope, and abbreviation.
